Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Louisville is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to coordinate resources, validate system fixes, and implement engineering changes across automated production lines. The role involves setting up vision control systems, maintaining networks, and ensuring safety reviews within a team.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in controls engineering, a related bachelor’s degree, and hands-on experience with PLC/CNC, AutoCAD, and robot systems (ABB/FANUC).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of Controls Engineering experience (internship and coop considered).
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics; modify diagrams in AutoCAD.
• Familiar with PLC/CNC systems (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), VFDs, Servo, Profinet, ABB and FANUC robots.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources to identify root causes and validation methods.
• Set up and maintain industrial barcode printers and vision systems.
• Review cycle times using plant monitoring software and support project installations.
• Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements.
• Update program backups for controls networks; install and maintain firmware and software.
