Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Engineering Specialist, Controls to join our Manufacturing team in Dearborn. You will lead problem solving with plants and implementation teams to resolve tooling and conveyor performance issues, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.

You will design and maintain vision control systems, program automation and robots, read electrical schematics and use AutoCAD, while coordinating safety and validation methods across projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of Controls Engineering experience
• Ability to work off-shift, weekends, and overtime

Responsibilities

• Lead problem solving to assist plants and implementation teams in resolving tooling, equipment and conveyor performance issues
• Coordinate resources to identify root cause and validation methods
• Handle setup and maintenance of industrial bar code printers
• Design and implement vision control systems and program cameras
• Review cycle times with FIS plant monitoring software and follow-up on installations
• Program new installations of automation, machinery, and robots
