Position summary: Responsible for engineering and smart mobility design applying general engineering

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil, or systems engineering.
• Engineer-in-training (EIT/EI) certification for civil degree applicants.
• Commitment to obtain EIT/EI within 6 months for other degrees.
• 0–5 years of engineering experience in related fields.
• Ability to write professionally and communicate clearly with clients across the southeastern US.
• Willingness to travel for field work including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic signal design, including CAD and field work.
• Assist with traffic signal corridor retiming, including field work, implementation, and fine-tuning.
• Assist with design computations and plan preparations.
• Assist with other traffic and safety studies, including field work.
• Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.
• Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
