Job summary

Johnson,-Mirmiran- is seeking an engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil or systems engineering to support traffic signal design and smart mobility projects in the southeastern United States.

The role blends office design work with field activities, requiring travel, clear client communication, and the development of project quantities, engineering documents, and design computations according to client specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited engineering program (mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil or systems).
• Engineer-in-training (EIT/EI) certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months for non-civil degrees.
• 0-5 years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil or systems engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse clients across the southeastern US.
• Willingness to travel for field work and site visits.
• Valid driver’s license and MV screening as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic signal design, CAD work and field measurements.
• Assist with corridor retiming, including field work and implementation.
• Prepare design computations and project quantities for cost estimates.
• Help develop engineering documents for advertisements and construction.
• Assist in preparing project quantities and design documents per client specs.
