Job summary

Baker Hughes in Broussard, LA is seeking an Applications Engineer for the Wellbore Interventions Team to support North America Offshore operations, focusing on life cycle asset management and failure analysis.

You will interact daily with Operations Management, Product Line Tech Support, and customers, guiding deployment of Smart Intervention tools and leading RCA reports. This role offers a hybrid schedule with strong career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of Technology Support experience.
• Extensive experience with Completions, Well Intervention, and Drilling Services equipment.
• Knowledge of Drilling Services Applications and Logs, especially CWI systems.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with Operations Management, Product Line Technical Support and the customer to meet objectives.
• Provide deployment and interpretation guidance for Smart Intervention tools.
• Advise external customers and third-party wellsite colleagues.
• Resolve a diverse range of complex wellsite problems requiring broad product knowledge.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, NPI, Marketing, Manufacturing/AMO, and Operations to keep documentation current.
• Assist regional engineers with Failure Analysis including root cause and corrective actions.
• Develop customer RCA reports including FMEA and fault trees.
• Lead customer response teams during high-impact failures.
