Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG-owned company, seeks a Field Service Technician/Professional to install and service smart home technology in customers’ homes. You will identify upgrades and present solutions on-site, combining technical work with consultative sales to drive total peace of mind for homeowners.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.
• Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
• Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not required.
• Requirements: A valid driver’s license and a good driving record; ability to pass post-offer background investigation and licensing requirements per applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Evaluating customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site.
• Training homeowners on how to use their new system to protect their families.
• Growth: coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.
