NRG Energy in South Holland, IL is seeking a Field Service Professional to install, service and support state-of-the-art smart home technology. You’ll build trusted relationships with customers, diagnose issues, and deliver safe, reliable home systems while working independently with a supportive team.

The role offers a four-day, 10-hour schedule with paid training, licensing support, a take-home vehicle and benefits, plus opportunities to grow and earn uncapped commissions through installations

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to pass required licensing.
• Exceptional customer service and communication.
• Ability to work independently while serving a team.
• Willingness to learn and use technology.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every appointment.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend upgrades or enhancements.
• Manage daily appointments, work orders and equipment.
• Identify service and referral opportunities when appropriate.
