Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG Energy owned company, is hiring Field Service Technicians to install cutting-edge smart home technology, evaluate customer homes, and sell upgrades on-site. You will be the face of Vivint, delivering security cameras, smart locks and home automation to provide total peace of mind.

Qualifications

• A Sales Mindset: Experience in retail, business-to-consumer (B2C) sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a strong advantage.
• Customer-First Attitude: Ability to act with integrity while building rapport and trust with diverse customers.
• Technical Aptitude: Experience in cable or satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar industries is helpful but not required.
• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Ability to successfully pass post-offer background screening and licensing requirements in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Technical Excellence: Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Consultative Sales: Evaluating customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site.
• Customer Education: Training homeowners on how to use their new system to help protect their families.
