Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, is hiring a Smart Home Sales Technician to meet customers in homes and at retail locations, assess needs and propose personalized security and automation solutions. You’ll install, service and coach customers on using their Vivint systems, while representing the brand in the field and in communities we serve.

The role emphasizes strong communication, a sales mindset, and the ability to learn new smart home technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sales mindset with ability to build trust and close sales.
• Comfort learning and using smart home technology.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to pass background and licensing requirements as applicable by law.

Responsibilities

• Meeting customers in homes, retail locations and events.
• Recommending personalized smart home, security and automation solutions.
• Generating leads, following up with prospects and closing sales.
• Installing, servicing and troubleshooting Vivint smart home equipment.
• Educating customers on how to use their system.
• Representing Vivint professionally in the field, in retail environments and in the communities we serve.
