Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the Smart Infrastructure division offers a Building Automation Systems Project Management Internship in Summer 2027. The program runs for 10 weeks, full-time at 40 hours per week, with rotations through the local branch in the New York City area (Morristown, New Jersey).

Undergraduate students who are rising juniors pursuing related engineering or computer science fields will gain hands-on experience in project management, scheduling, procurement, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Undergraduate enrollment at a 4-year U.S. college; rising junior.
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August).
• There is no relocation or housing stipend for this program.
• The intern must have their own personal and reliable vehicle to travel to customer sites; mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings and project documents to establish a project delivery plan.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate with the project team on time-sensitive installation needs.
• Manage procurement of supplies and materials and participate in project cost reviews.
• Track labor resources and project progress.
• Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
• Rotate through other departments to learn how the branch operates.
