Job summary

CBRE seeks a Technical Manager to lead a digital engineering team across a campus of buildings, driving energy efficiency and occupant comfort. You will supervise BAS/BMS integrations, manage schedules, and coordinate with contractors to ensure reliable operations.

You will leverage real-time BAS data to deliver predictive recommendations, oversee preventive maintenance, and align resources with budget and energy goals, all while upholding CBRE RISE values and delivering a best-in-class

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building operations.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) and data from these systems.
• Ability to manage detailed technical information and communicate it clearly.
• Experience leveraging digital tools to analyze building performance and energy optimization.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision and leadership to digital engineering staff, including onboarding, training, development, performance evaluations, succession planning, and hiring to build a high-performing team.
• Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities by establishing work schedules, prioritizing assignments, and cross-training staff to ensure operational continuity.
• Oversee operations and maintenance for assigned facilities, including budgeting and lifecycle investments, to maximize system performance.
• Lead BAS integrations for centralized monitoring, control, and optimization of building performance.
• Use BAS data to analyze performance, anticipate needs, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
• Identify inefficiencies and prioritize repairs/upgrades to reduce energy consumption and extend asset life.
• Develop and improve preventive/predictive maintenance programs with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure quality and minimal disruption.
