Job summary

You will support underwriter system tests, assist the team on pre-sale items, and maintain punctual attendance in an on-site environment with heavy volume during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete California and Nevada cases with accuracy in a fast paced environment.
• Enter case into carrier’s online system or Excel spreadsheet.
• Meet 24 hour turnaround time on each case and pending items.
• Assist Team Lead or Manager with Pre-Sale questions or projects.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Subject matter expert: review and test underwriting system changes before implementation.
• On-site regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Perform other business tasks as assigned.

Purpose of Position:

Review Group applications by the Carrier’s guidelines and submit by the applicable deadlines.

Follow up with Broker or Sales Office for pending items.

Position requires mandatory overtime during months of heavy volume.

Essential Functions:

• Review and complete California and Nevada cases with accuracy in a fast paced environment


• Enter case into carrier’s online system if applicable or excel spreadsheet


• Meet 24 hour turn time on each case and pending items


• Assist Team Lead or Manager with Pre-Sale Questions or projects as needed


• Provide excellent Customer Service to internal and external customers

Educational Requirements:

• College preferred or equivalent work experience.
  Health Insurance knowledge is helpful.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasional standing and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
