Job summary

Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc. in Madison, WI is seeking a full-time Small Equipment Operator for our recycling center on 1st shift.

Compensation is based on experience with productivity bonuses; offers include health insurance, 401k with match, paid time off, and disability/life coverage. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and skid steers, perform maintenance, and ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards while supporting efficient material handling and cleanup operations.

Qualifications

• Must pass small equipment training and certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate small equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, balers, etc.
• Stacking and cleaning baled material.
• Move material throughout the facility and empty containers.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on machines.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
