Job description

Job Description:

Provides expert understanding and ability in assisting brokers, potential members, and existing members in the sale of Individual Plans and Products. Works with Enrollment and Billing Departments throughout the sales and renewal process to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Job Essentials

  1. Trains and assists brokers with the sale of Individual Plan and Small Employer products, including explaining plans, products, rates, and all available options.
  2. Assists and educates potential and existing members in choosing the most appropriate insurance plan, making educated decisions on plan types and options, both on Marketplace and off.
  3. Attends various sales events, directly interacting with brokers, customers, and members of other departments professionally.
  4. Handles a specific book of business and assists with other Representatives' books as needed, communicating accurately and confidentially in accordance with HIPAA and internal guidelines.
  5. Stays updated on legislative changes, healthcare reform, and their impact on the Market, and assists brokers and applicants accordingly.
  6. Inputs data and updates the sales automation system to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  7. Maintains a monthly average phone audit score of 93.5%.
  8. Passes all departmental testing requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Two years of sales experience
  • Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and internet systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of health insurance
  • Familiarity with Facets or similar eligibility systems
  • Experience in health insurance industry
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork ability
  • Strong customer service orientation

The hourly range is $18.38 - $26.65, dependent on experience.
