Job summary

Allspring Global Investments Holdings, LLC is seeking an SMA Implementation Analyst in Charlotte, NC to support the growth of our Custom SMA platform. The role focuses on building scalable, risk-aware portfolio‑implementation processes within the SMA Portfolio Implementation team.

You will partner with onboarding, operations, research, and technology to ensure end-to-end workflow alignment and continuous platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of investment analysis experience.
• Experience with equity direct indexing.
• Understanding of portfolio management principles.
• Mean-variance optimization knowledge (preferred).
• Basic to intermediate ability with SQL or similar data tools.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, or technology initiatives (preferred).
• Exposure to non-equity asset classes is a plus (preferred).
• CFA charter, relevant graduate degree, or progress toward either (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trade analytics to support portfolio construction and implementation decisions.
• Analyze in-kind funded accounts to determine appropriate transition outcomes.
• Evaluate portfolio optimization tradeoffs, including tracking error and tax cost/benefit.
• Perform non-trade analytics to support ongoing portfolio monitoring and client service needs.
• Monitor and process corporate actions across SMA accounts.
• Respond to internal inquiries on portfolio risk characteristics, expected outcomes, implementation constraints, account-level results and issues, and client-driven requirements.
• Partner with onboarding, operations, research, enterprise technology, and investment teams to support end-to-end workflow alignment.
• Identify and contribute to improvements in portfolio implementation processes and scalability.
