Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA will help individuals with communication disorders improve speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication skills, while implementing documented IEP goals and services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field approved by the state licensing board.
• SLPA license or certification as required by the state.
• Completion of supervised clinical fieldwork experience.
• Basic knowledge of speech-language pathology terminology, developmental milestones, and therapy practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing documented IEP goals and services.
• Help individuals with communication disorders improve speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication skills.
• Assist with assessments and evaluations as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Support administrative needs of therapy sessions and documentation.
