Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our home health team in Mount Sterling, KY. This part-time role focuses on delivering patient-centered care in the home setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve communication outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, an active SLP license, and BLS/CPR certification. You will work in Clark, Powell, Montgomery, and surrounding counties with flexible scheduling and strong

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted state license as an SLP.
• BLS/CPR certification or equivalent per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine therapy continuation.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods for patients with limited speech.
• Educate healthcare team, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
