Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our Providence, RI team on a PRN schedule. You will deliver patient-centered, 1:1 therapy in the home setting, collaborating with caregivers and the healthcare team.

Minimum requirements include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, 1 year of experience, a current state license, and BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.
