Job summary

Adoration Health in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. You will provide expert, patient-centered care in a home health setting. This role is PRN with a supportive team and stable employment within a growing organization.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, an unrestricted state license, and a current BLS/CPR certification, with at least one year of experience in the field.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language difficulties and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with limited speech.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document progress and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
