Job summary

Adept Nursing & Rehab of South Sioux is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, and develop personalized treatment plans with physician orders.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • CCC-SLP (or Clinical Fellow) accepted.
  • License as a Speech Language Pathologist in the relevant state.
  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric settings preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in residents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and orders.
  • Provide therapy to residents recovering from stroke or other neurological conditions.
  • Assess and manage dysphagia and recommend dietary modifications.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records per facility guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy plans.
  • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to outcomes.
