Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Slots Guest Services Representative to enhance the guest experience at the slot area. You will assist with questions, payouts, and Rewards enrollment while maintaining compliance with gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and clean slot area
• Greet guests and provide personalized service

• Enroll guests into MGM Resorts Rewards Program with ID verification
• Troubleshoot minor slot machine issues and assist guests
• Promote MGM shows, restaurants and attractions to guests
• Monitor underage gambling and report as needed
• Follow department policies and Title 31 compliance

THE JOB

The primary responsibility of the Slots Guest Services Representative is to enhance the guests Slot experience by assisting with property and slot related questions, slot machine payouts and enrollment to MGM Resorts International Rewards Program. Be able to complete required Regulatory and Federal Tax paperwork and appropriately validate guest age using government issued IDs. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Gaming Regulations and department property policies, practices, and procedures.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Maintain an organized and clean slot area paying attention that slot machine chairs are pushed in and slot guests are receiving personalized service
• Consistently smiles, makes eye contact and greets each guest
• Pays slot machine jackpots and completes the required paperwork neatly and accurately, IRS W2G/1042‐S forms
• Enroll guests into the MGM Resorts International Rewards Program following established guidelines and by verifying government issued guest ID, age and using property enrollment devices
• Make minor repairs to slot machines by clearing EZ‐Pay ticket/bill jams, Bill Acceptor, ticket printers, and replacing ticket paper
• Continually circulates through an assigned section and responds to slot machine lights in a quick and timely manner
• Keeps well informed of the various types of slot machines on the casino floor to better assist guests in looking for a particular type of machine or denomination
• Recommends MGM shows, restaurants and attractions to guests and stays current on company and departmental news and events to answer guest questions
• Maintains an awareness of any persons that may be gambling under the legal age of 21 and reports all underage persons to Supervisor and/or Security, as needed
• Complies with departmental and company policies and procedures including Title 31

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ Years of prior relevant experience as a Slot Guest Service representative preferred
