Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino is seeking staff to ensure excellent guest service and accurate payouts on the gaming floor and at POS terminals. You will assist guests with jackpot payouts, explain slot play, and resolve minor machine issues.

The role requires math proficiency, cash handling experience, and flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. A Class III Gaming License is required or obtainable, with NRWC providing pre-employment testing and support.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and passing math quiz with 80% or higher.
• Cash handling experience of $1000 or more.
• Excellent guest skills.
• Ability to work productively.
• Ability to perform all job duties accurately.
• Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
• Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Make change and paying out jackpots on the gaming floor or behind the counter at the point- of- sale stations. Explains to guests how to play the Slot Machines offered in the Casino. Assists guests with minor machine problems.

Required skills and knowledge

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stoop, reach, squat, push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand or continuously move for 8 hours or more.
• Manual and finger dexterity for operation of POS systems and routine paperwork.
• Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Ability to open and close gaming machines.
• Follows all electronic gaming rules in accordance with the Nisqually Red Wind Casino policies and procedures and internal control.
• Delivers superior guest service.
• Proper radio etiquette.
• Awareness of gaming lights on gaming machine(s).
• Knowledge of location for all game themes on floor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the gaming floor.
• Must complete Title 31 requirements.
• Performs routine machine maintenance.
• Paying out jackpots to the guests
• Make change for guests.
• Notifies supervisor of any irregularities noted in guest play or transactions.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
