Job summary

Nooksack Northwood Casino in Lynden, WA, is seeking a Slot Attendant to provide exceptional guest service at the gaming floor. You will initiate and oversee jackpot payouts, assist guests with W-2G forms, and help maintain ticket printers, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

You will monitor machines, respond to guest concerns, report issues to supervision, and support a clean, safe gaming environment in accordance with tribal, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Class III gaming licenses from the Nooksack Gaming Commission and the Washington State Gambling Commission.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Preferred: Previous casino experience.
  • Preferred: Previous slot department experience.
  • Preferred: Cash handling and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, verifies, and oversees jackpot payouts for designated amounts.
  • Assists guests in completion of W-2G tax forms when pays exceed amounts designated by the IRS.
  • Repairs ticket acceptor and ticket printer jams; notifies slot technician for non-functional devices.
  • Completes entries on Machine Entry Activity Log (MEAL).
  • Participates in the payment of jackpots and monitors guests and machines to detect problems.
  • Investigates player complaints, machine malfunctions, or irregularities and refers matters to supervisor on duty.
  • Provides outstanding customer service with respect, patience, and attentiveness.
  • Complies with tribal, state, federal, and NIGC laws and regulations.
  • Maintains cleanliness of gaming floor and keeps slot area free of debris.

PURPOSE OF POSITIONProvides exceptional guest service. Performs basic player terminal & machine service, and limited machine maintenance including Sports Wagering kiosks.Supervisory StructureReports to: Slot Shift SupervisorSupervises: N/ADUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESInitiates, verifies, and oversees jackpot payouts for designated amounts. Assists guests in completion of W-2G tax forms when pays exceed amounts designated by the IRS.Repairs ticket acceptor and ticket printer jams. Replaces low printer paper, as needed. Notifies slot technician in the case of non-functional gaming devices.Completes entries on Machine Entry Activity Log (MEAL). Participates in the payment of jackpotsCirculates through assigned area and monitors guests and machines to detect problems. Investigates player complaints, machine malfunctions, or irregularities.
