Job summary

Interstate-Packagin is seeking a Slitter/Rewind Operator to set up and operate the designated machine, ensuring product quality and training new employees. The role emphasizes strict adherence to safety procedures, GMP-like policies, and accurate data entry.

You will work closely with supervision across shifts to maintain production flow. Responsibilities include reading job jackets, performing quality checks, keeping the rewind area clean, and correctly recording all data.

Qualifications

• Must have prior manufacturing or mechanical experience.
• Color vision required; must not be colorblind.
• Able to lift 50–75 pounds and handle 100–300 pounds with equipment.
• Strong reading and math skills for measurements and order readings.
• Ability to work shifts and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter/rewinder equipment.
• Follow quality checks and document readings.
• Maintain clean rewind area and follow safety policies.
• Train new employees.
• Communicate with supervisor and maintain chain of command.
• Record information electronically as required.
