Sheridan Lebanon Junction is seeking a Slitter Operator for our Warehouse & Finishing team. You will operate and maintain slitting equipment, assess job tickets, and ensure product quality while handling large paper rolls safely.

Formación

• Manufacturing or production experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with setup, maintenance, blade changes, and minor troubleshooting.
• Ability to read job tickets, production specs, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and clamp truck (training provided).
• Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Works well independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication with supervisors, maintenance and quality teams.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate slitting and rewinding equipment per specs and schedules.
• Review job tickets and samples to ensure correct product output.
• Perform complete machine setups including knives, shafts, guides, and tension controls.
• Change tools and adjust equipment for each job.
• Set and maintain proper web tension, alignment, and winding conditions.
• Monitor equipment and inspect quality; adjust to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Load and unload paper rolls, verify roll width/diameter and splice quality.
• Identify and correct defects such as slab damage, wrinkles, or miswinding.
• Perform daily inspections, lubrication, blade changes, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
• Operate forklift and clamp truck to move rolls up to 6,000 pounds.
