Job summary

The Griff Network in Fallsington, PA is seeking a reliable Slitter Operator Helper to support the safe operation of slitter and rewinder equipment. You will assist with machine preparation, loading, threading, splicing, and packaging to meet customer specifications.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing or warehousing, basic measuring skills, and the ability to read work orders. Training is provided with opportunities to advance to Slitter Operator roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, production, warehousing, packaging, or material handling preferred.
• Experience as machine helper or similar preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, labels, customer specifications, safety procedures, and basic production records.
• Ability to use measuring devices accurately.
• Forklift experience preferred, with ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup and breakdown, including loading materials and threading.
• Review work orders to confirm materials, dimensions, core sizes, packaging supplies, labels, and specs.
• Load and unload master rolls, finished rolls, shafts, cores, and related materials using forklifts or other equipment.
• Perform basic splicing and maintain continuous material flow during production runs.
• Cut cores and prepare skids, boxes, core plugs, wrapping materials, labels, and other packaging supplies.
• Remove finished rolls from the rewind section and inspect for defects, winding, edges and quality concerns.
• Measure materials and finished rolls to verify job specifications.
• Package, label, wrap, and stage finished products according to customer specifications and shipping requirements.
• Complete basic production records and Epicor transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area following all procedures.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance and report issues promptly.
• Participate in training and cross-training, support other converting or material-handling activities.
