Job summary

The Griff Network is seeking a detail-oriented Slitter Operator Helper to support setup, loading, packaging, and documentation for converting paper, film, foil, and other materials. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a defined path to becoming a Slitter Operator.

Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. On-site, full-time, with opportunities for career growth and cross-training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and production instructions.
• Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, rulers, and calipers.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills to complete production records.

Responsibilities

• Assist Slitter Operators with machine setup, changeovers, and production runs.
• Load master rolls and prepare shafts, cores, and tooling for production.
• Thread materials and perform basic splicing functions.
• Inspect finished rolls for defects and verify dimensions using manual tools.
• Complete production records and Epicor transactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report safety concerns.
