Shurtape Technologies, LLC in New York state is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and run manual and automatic slitter lines, ensuring quality and on-time production.

You will read gauges, perform safety checks, enter data into SAP, and assist in continuous improvement projects while maintaining accurate production records.

This role requires good manual dexterity, the ability to follow instructions, and a team-oriented mindset in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry
• Ability to read simple measurements, gauges, and meters
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately, work independently, and as a team player

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter according to established procedures
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance programs
• Read tags and ensure correct materials are retrieved/used
• Record output results and data in required documents or computer
• Perform equipment change-overs and splices; assist in data-entry on SAP
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
