Job summary

MCC, the global leader in premium labels, seeks a Slitter at its Elkton, Kentucky facility to transform master label rolls into customer order rolls ready for shipping.

You will set up the rewind machine, run orders, label and stack, inspect for misprints, and participate in rework as needed. The position offers a 6am–6pm rotating shift and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Sets up rewind machine to cut and rewind specific counts per customer order
• Runs orders, fills out core labels to identify order, and stacks orders on carts
• Keeps orders separated by size, city, UPC or plant numbers
• Checks rolls while running for misprinting; report error to pressman and supervisor
• Cuts out “bad” labels on rolls and splices rolls
• Directs errors to rework area
• Rotates through rework area to rework “bad” rolls
• Clean rewind machine or turret machine as needed
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

The Slitter is responsible for taking master label rolls from the Rewind Feeder and transforms rolls into specific customer order rolls ready for shipping.
