Job summary

MCC is hiring Finishing Helpers at our Clarksville, TN facility. The role involves ensuring print and seam quality, handling rolls, and data recording in our systems.

We offer a starting pay of $16.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour night shift differential, plus a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent, with 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Experience with lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing is preferred.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent walking.

Responsibilities

• Check print quality and seam quality continuously.
• Remove defective material and splice rolls per specifications.
• Record data in paperwork and in the Globetek system.
• Handle rolls and palletize carefully to avoid damage.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for Finishing Helpers to join our team.

Shift:

Why work at MCC:

• Compensation: $16.00 hourly, and a $1.00/per hour shift differential for night shift.
• Sign-on Bonus - up to $1,000

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek)
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook and have the ability to learn company specialized software program
• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience or in-depth knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous eye concentration.
