Job summary

MCC in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Machine Operator for day or night shift. No prior experience is required, but helpful. The role involves setting up the rewind machine, running orders, labeling, and ensuring rolls meet customer specs for shipping.

We offer a generous benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, life, 401(k)) and a $1000 sign‑on bonus. Shift is 2‑2‑3 rotating, 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am, with opportunities to grow within an industry leader.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sets up rewind machine to cut and rewind specific counts per customer order
• Runs orders, fills out core labels to identify order, and stacks orders on carts
• Keeps orders separated by size, city, UPC or plant numbers
• Checks rolls while running for misprinting; reports errors to pressman and supervisor
• Cuts out bad labels on rolls and splices rolls
• Directs errors to rework area
• Rotates through rework area to rework bad rolls
• Cleans rewind machine or turret machine as needed
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

We are currently looking for Machine Operators to join our team. Experience is not required but always a bonus.

The Slitter is responsible for taking master label rolls from the Rewind Feeder and transforms rolls into specific customer order rolls ready for shipping.

Qualifications:

• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
