Job summary

MCC is seeking a Machine Operator in Elkton, Kentucky. No prior experience required, though it is a plus. The role offers a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with a night shift premium of $2.00 per hour on top of the base $21.00 per hour, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

You will monitor print quality, splice rolls, and record data in Globetek. Responsibilities include paper work, forklift readiness, and potential training for forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide for label counts and conversions in US customary units.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Visual requirements include color and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web per specifications.
• Uses ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing as needed.
• Handles rolls and palletizes to avoid damage.
• Records data on paperwork and in the Globetek system.
• Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Willing to learn and drive a forklift when needed.

We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our team. Experience is not required but always a bonus.

Shift:

This role follows a 2 ‑ 2 ‑ 3 rotating schedule:

• Week 1: Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days
• Week 2: Off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days

This two ‑ week cycle repeats continuously.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Willing to learn and drive a forklift when needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
