The West Shore Sleep lab is looking for a new Sleep Technologist to join their team. This office promotes education and training. Apply today!

Schedule: Nights only. 3 days per week from 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., no weekends or holidays.

Purpose: A sleep technologist is a registered position working under the supervision of the lead sleep technologist, collaborating with department management. They perform sleep lab functions, including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Follow department policies and procedures under supervision, including those of the medical director or designees.
• Prepare for sleep studies by reviewing patient charts, testing orders, and ensuring proper patient identification.
• Set up sleep studies, applying electrodes and sensors according to AASM guidelines, and explaining procedures to patients.
• Conduct in-center sleep studies, focusing on quality and patient care.
• Conduct out-of-center sleep studies with the same focus on quality and care.
• Analyze and score sleep studies accurately.
• Clean equipment and patient rooms.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Manage lab supplies inventory and restocking.
• Maintain scoring competency, completing monthly AASM ISR requirements.
• Adhere to system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited polysomnography program (CAAHEP or CoARC preferred) with sleep credentials from RPSGT, CRT-SDS, RRT-SDS, or RST.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire, per AHA standards.
• CPR certification.
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (renewal required).
• Act 33, Act 34, Act 73 FBI Clearance (renewals required).
