General Summary
Performs a variety of tests and studies related to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders according to established standards and practices.

Job Description

Shift Information
Rotating Day Shift 5:45am - 4:15pm

Responsibilities

  • Schedules, performs, and evaluates the technical validity of overnight sleep studies, nocturnal pulse oximetry, and other related studies.
  • Sets up and applies polysomnographic monitoring devices, ensuring patient safety and accurate test results.
  • Provides summary analysis/reports of all polysomnographic studies for physician review.
  • Instructs patients in the home use of therapeutic devices.

Common Expectations

  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles over the lifespan of the patient population. Assesses and interprets age-specific data, providing appropriate treatment. Provides direct patient care to the assigned age groups.
  • Maintains policies, procedures, quality standards, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
  • Provides outstanding service, fosters teamwork, and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation as required.
  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
