Qualifications

Surgical techs are an integral part of a hospital's healthcare team, acting as a surgeon's right hand. Responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining detailed reports, and providing non-discriminatory care to all patients.

To apply as a surgical technologist with Nomad, you must have an active certification from NBSTSA, NCCSA, or ABSA, and at least one year of experience as an Adult Cardiothoracic surgical tech or first assistant, with evidence of recent experience within your specialty. If uncertified, a minimum of 10 years of surgical tech experience is required, subject to facility acceptance. You must have graduated from an accredited program and scored 80% or higher on Nomad's competency exams.
