JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry Research, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Human Research Technologist (Sleep Research Assistant) to support various sleep research projects. The candidate will assist in developing project-specific sleep data management documentation and collaborate with project coordinators, statisticians, clinical investigators, and other personnel to plan and implement data management tasks.
Work Hours: First and second shifts as required by the sleep study schedule, including some weekends. Typical hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
This position typically requires an Associate's degree or higher (Master's preferred) plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience collecting and analyzing biological samples (saliva, urine, blood) and knowledge of phlebotomy are desirable but not required.
This is a limited-term position funded for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
