Medical City Decatur, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Sleep Therapist to perform sleep studies, educate patients and families, and ensure diagnostic accuracy within established protocols. This role emphasizes direct patient care, collaboration with the Sleep Diagnostic Center, and adherence to professional standards.

The position supports age-specific care, requires timely certification updates, and commitment to high-quality outcomes in a large health system with extensive resources.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• RPSGT certification must be obtained within 1 year; CPSGT within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• Required training as a Registered or Certified Polysomnographic Technician.
• Continuing education in sleep diagnostics required per state regulations.
• Previous experience in sleep diagnostics preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform and plan sleep studies and evaluate care outcomes.
• Provide patient/family education and therapeutic treatments.
• Provide clinical management and diagnostic evaluation per treatment plan and center policies.
• Uphold department and hospital standards with respectful interactions with patients and staff.
