Job summary

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in Hershey, PA, seeks a PT Human Research Technologist to explain study aspects, maintain lab equipment, apply electrodes, and monitor overnight sleep studies for clinical trials in human subjects.

Responsibilities include performing PSGs, collecting Actigraphy data, maintaining lab supplies, collecting biological samples, and supporting sleep data management across projects.

Qualifications

  • RPSGT strongly preferred; will consider candidates with prior training in sleep studies who have suitable work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings; monitor and track research studies to ensure quality control.
  • Perform PSGs and participate in the collection of Actigraphy, and other research participant data.
  • Maintain supplies for sleep laboratory as well as recording equipment to ensure it is in working order at all times for research studies.
  • Collect and analyze biological samples (saliva, urine).
  • Participate in aspects of sleep data management for assigned projects including: update and maintain databases; resolve problem data issues; track data collection forms, and other project materials; perform verification procedures.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators, clinical investigators, clinical personnel, and other data management personnel to plan and implement sleep data management tasks for research projects.
