Job summary

Mek is seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of a sleep medicine outpatient practice and sleep laboratory in Hawaii. The role partners with the Medical Director and clinical leadership to optimize workflows, ensure compliance, and deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years in healthcare operations, strong EMR and MS Office skills, and leadership experience. Prior sleep medicine exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Minimum four years in healthcare or ambulatory operations.
• At least two years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Sleep medicine or sleep lab operations experience preferred.
• Experience with healthcare accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• HR-related processes: staffing, onboarding, scheduling, credentialing.
• Strong knowledge of EMR and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinical office and sleep laboratory.
• Manage correspondence with insurance companies and prior authorizations.
• Develop and maintain clinical and administrative policies and procedures.
• Monitor productivity, patient satisfaction, and KPIs; identify improvement opportunities.
• Support HR tasks incl. recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, evaluations, credentialing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (AASM, Joint Commission).
• Identify operational challenges and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as liaison among Medical Director, staff, patients, and external entities.
• Take on additional administrative roles to support growth.
