Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Sleep Lab Technician at the Smith Northview Campus for PRN, 8-hour day shifts in the SNH Sleep Study department.

The NST will perform polysomnography studies, titrate PAP, educate patients, monitor and analyze data, and communicate findings to the Coordinator. Candidates should have a high school diploma; sleep-study experience and credentials are preferred, with current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Experience in sleep studies preferred.
• Eligible for CPSGT, RPSGT, RST or SDS credentials.
• Must have current Basic Life Support certification.
• Good computer literacy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography studies and related sleep evaluations.
• Titrate positive airway pressure and monitor patients.
• Educate patients, prepare and collect data, and analyze results.
• Communicate relevant information to the Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Coordinate up to three patients per night.
