Job summary

WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV is seeking a Sleep Lab professional to perform diagnostic sleep studies and contribute to patient evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Must hold LRTR licensure and obtain RPSGT/RST within 2 years, with NBRC credentials (CPFT/RPFT/CRT/RRT) and CPR certification.

Responsibilities include high-quality polysomnography, accurate data recording, consent procedures, coding, and maintaining thorough documentation for physician review.

Qualifications

• Must hold current licensure as required by the state board where services will be provided.
• Knowledge of polysomnography equipment and testing montages.
• Experience documenting test results and patient history.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality polysomnograms.
• Uses proper testing montages to detect sleep architecture, EEG/EKG abnormalities, respiratory events and oximetry issues.
• Performs pre- and post-testing equipment checks and records results.
• Obtains consent for Video Taping, Filming and/or Photography and Polysomnogram.
• Completes Pre- and Post-sleep Questionnaires.
• Documents patient sleep history and procedural details.
• Identifies sleep hygiene issues and records findings.
• Charts notes for physician interpretation and actions taken.
• Maintains event logs and organizes medical data per policy.
