Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a Sleep Lab position in Morgantown, WV. Requires RRT or RPSGT with pediatric polysomnography experience and NBRC/BRPT credentials. Night shifts and travel pay eligibility are included.

You will work in a pediatric Sleep Evaluation Center, performing bedside sleep studies with EPIC EMR, Respironics and ResMed equipment, alongside an in-house hospitalist team. Travel and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (AHA).
• RRT via NBRC or RPSGT via BRPT with 18 months Sleep Lab experience.
• Respiratory Therapist license as required by state.
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Comfortable performing sleep studies on medically complex pediatric patients.
• Additional NBRC certification in CPFT, RPFT, CRT, RRT, or SDS.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a children’s hospital Sleep Evaluation Center.
• Peds Polysomnography unit performing sleep studies at bedside and in critical care areas.
• Pediatric patient population including medically complex children.
• Approximately 2 sleep studies per shift per technician.
• Uses Respironics and ResMed equipment with Natus sleep software.
• EPIC EMR used.
• Night shift, 7pm-7am, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday coverage required, with possible time off for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• First to float among staff.
• No call or standby call requirement.
• Caribbean Blue scrub color dress code.
• Performs sleep studies in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Works alongside an in-house hospitalist or intensivist team.
• Department-specific orientation provided.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rate.
• Returning travelers must have taken a 2-year break if they previously worked at any WVU Medicine facility.
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment length at WVU facilities before requiring a 2-year break.
