Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals Sleep Evaluation Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist with sleep lab experience to perform studies and support patient care. You will document findings, coordinate with physicians, and ensure quality studies in a hospital setting.

Role includes training, equipment upkeep, and daily collaboration with the Sleep Lab team; night shifts, 36 hours per week, non-exempt, located in Morgantown, WV.

Qualifications

• RPSGT or RST with 18 months sleep lab experience required.
• Alternatively, LRTR/LRTC with 1 year respiratory therapy experience and NBRC certs.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs sleep studies and ensures high-quality, efficient studies in the Sleep Center and hospital.
• Maintains documentation in notes, equipment, and patient charts.
• Scores sleep studies per AASM guidelines and communicates results to physicians.
• Assists in training trainees and staff; participates in department education.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and department organization.
• Observes patient status and communicates concerns promptly.
