PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist specialized in sleep disorders to perform high-quality polysomnograms and manage pre/post-testing procedures in the Sleep Lab.

The role requires licensure, polysomnography certification within two years, and NBRC credentials (CPFT/RPFT/CRT/RRT) with CPR certification. One year of polysomnographic experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided.
• WV: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Registered (LRTR) through the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care
• Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through BRST or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) through ABSM within two years of hire.
• Certification in NBRC: CPFT, RPFT, CRT, or RRT.
• Certification in CPR.

Aufgaben

• Performs high-quality polysomnograms.
• Utilizes proper testing montages to detect abnormal sleep architecture, EEG/EKG abnormalities, abnormal respiratory events, and low oximetry.
• Performs equipment pre- and post-testing including impedance check and calibrations and records in patient’s permanent record.
• Obtains consent for Video Taping, Filming and/or Photography and Polysomnogram.
• Completes Pre- and Post-sleep Questionnaires.
• Document history of the patient’s sleep problems and documentation for each procedure.
• Detect sleep hygiene problems and record appropriately.
• Charts clinical notes for interpretation by physician regarding action taken and any comfort measures provided during sleep testing.
• Records an event log with chronological documentation of patient interaction during sleep testing.
• Labels, files, and stores medical data and test results according to Policy/Procedure in Sleep Center Manual.
