Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, and coordinate scheduling for clinic and hospital services.

The role requires completion of an MA program, active MA certification, BLS, and strong computer skills. The position is full-time, daytime hours from Monday to Friday.

You will work under providers, ensure accurate charting, prepare specimens when needed, and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA or NCCT with proof).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures; handle phlebotomy and basic room maintenance.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals and scheduling; communicate test results to patients.
