Banner Health Staffing Services seeks a Medical Assistant to support a busy pediatric specialty clinic in Tucson, AZ. You will take vital signs, assist clinicians, manage patient flow, and coordinate tests and referrals.

The ideal candidate holds an MA certification, with strong computer and communication skills, and can adapt to changing priorities. Monday–Friday daytime schedule; flexible shifts may apply with Banner Staffing Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs and symptoms.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures and document care.
• Coordinate care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing data.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and properly disinfect equipment.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as required.
• Work under supervision of providers and adapt to various departments.
