Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a pediatric clinic in Tucson, AZ. The role supports clinicians, performs vital signs, and assists with exams and procedures in a fast-paced specialty setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an approved MA training program certification and an active CMA/RMA/CCMA with BLS. This part-time position offers scheduling flexibility and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification.
• Proficiency with medical software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking and recording vital signs and symptoms.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic care; acts as chaperone as needed.
• Coordinates patient care: referrals, authorizations, scheduling, and test results communication to patients.
• Provides clerical support for medical records and billing documentation.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms; follows safety and OSHA guidelines.
