Job summary

CommonSpirit Medical Group in Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support screenings, procedures, health education, and care coordination in the Sleep Center.

You will gather vital signs, assist with procedures, and use EHR systems to coordinate care while addressing patient concerns with empathy and clear instructions. AAMA/NHA/NCCT/AMT/NAHP/AMT certifications are expected upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CMA certification options accepted upon hire (AAMA/NHA/NCCT/AMT/NAHP/AMT).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and privacy protections.
• Perform general patient care following standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Record vital signs including BP, temp, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, meds.
• May draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Administer medications/vaccines as ordered.
