Job summary

CommonSpirit Medical Group in Chattanooga is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our Healthy Aging team. You will assist with screenings, clinical procedures, and health education, while coordinating care with the care team.

You will collect vitals, prepare patients, and help with medications and vaccines as needed. AAMA/NCCT/NHA certifications are required on hire; prior CMA experience and EHR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Official CMA certifications upon hire.
• Ability to perform blood draws and administer vaccines if required.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including BP, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, and medications.
• May be required to draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Administer medications and/or vaccines via various routes.
