Job summary

Lumen seeks a Director II Sales, SLED to lead and grow our State, Local Government and Education portfolio in the East region from a Northeast-based hub. You will build and manage a high-performance sales team, drive quota attainment, and shape growth across Networking, Cloud, Security, Managed Services and Datacenter solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in telecom or tech sales with management experience in SLED or Federal sectors, plus strategic planning and mentorship skills.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of telecom or related technology sales experience.
• Five plus years sales management experience with SLED or Federal in telecommunications or a tech-based industry.
• Experience in building strategic plans for sales team growth and development including account and activity planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sale of entire product portfolio including Networking, Cloud, Security, Managed Services, and Datacenter solutions to meet revenue targets.
• Perform account planning and positioning for Growth Accounts in SLED vertical.
• Responsible for quota attainment, realigning modules of accounts, and meeting monthly sales goals while delivering outstanding service to customers.
• Train, coach, mentor, motivate and conduct formal performance reviews for team of 5-7 sales representatives in SLED accounts.
• Manage active learning plans and facilitate daily, monthly, and yearly sales results goals for sales team.
• Responsible for day-to-day sales activity management, funnel activity, territory management, and customer focused sales efforts for a team of SLED sales executives.
• Participate in community and industry events to develop opportunities to obtain new business.
• Work cross-functionally with business leaders and other channels.
• Overall financial tracking, revenue recognition and forecasting responsibilities.
